About 10”X2”, this maple and maple burl is quite interesting in appearance. I started with a block of hard maple, turned it round, and textured it. After painting it black I created a recess in which to insert the maple burl. I turned and shaped the burl to accentuate the swirls and eyes that make burls so interesting.
