Box Elder Bowl

Box elder wood (Acer negundo), also called Manitoba maple, is a lightweight, soft domestic maple famous for its vivid red and pink streaks. While structural builders often dismiss it as a weed tree or low-grade firewood, woodworkers highly prize its colorful spalted and figured burls for specialty crafts.
This bowl is 8”X2”, and finished with oil and spray lacquer.
